Singing the same tune

I LOVE LOVE MUSIC!!!!! 

On Friday evening just a few of us went out to see some live local music, and I truly was in my happy place here in South Africa.  As a recommendation from one of our guest speakers we went to a bar called Assembly to see two different bands; Hot Water and Freshly Ground. It was nice to be with a smaller group and mix with some locals!  Walking into the bar and feeling welcome and at peace, was very nostalgic. 

I am certain that music is a cross-cultural experience that people can relate in many different ways.  Even if there is a language barrier once the music starts up and you feel the beat and start dancing is does not matter your cultural background, you can put your differences and confusions behind and just absorb the sound, rhythm and beat.  As one of our instructors would say ‘hakunamatada’ just let it be!
